Calling all horse lovers, riders, and festival enthusiasts! The 2025 Oatmeal Festival Trail Ride returns on Saturday, September 27, 2025. This tradition is more than a ride—it’s a celebration of horses, community, and the Texas Hill Country.

Whether you’re a seasoned rider or new to trail rides, this is your chance to saddle up with friends, meet the Escondido Trail Riders, and take part in one of the most beloved Texas festival traditions: the Oatmeal Festival Grand Parade in Bertram.

📍 Meeting Location: Oatmeal Community Center, FM 243
⏰ Arrival Time: 7:00 – 7:30 AM
🐎 Departure: 8:00 AM sharp
🛤️ Route: 5.5 miles along FM 243 to Panther Park in Bertram, TX

💡 Pro Tip: Arrive early to meet the Escondido Trail Riders and other equestrians before the ride begins.


The Ride Experience

At 8:00 AM, riders will set out from Oatmeal Community Center and travel 5.5 miles through the Texas Hill Country. The journey offers crisp autumn air, scenic views, and the steady rhythm of hooves along FM 243.

Once at Bertram’s Panther Park, horses and riders will rest and refresh before joining the Oatmeal Festival Grand Parade. Festival-goers line the streets, cheering on riders as they bring the spirit of the Hill Country straight into downtown Bertram.
