Oatmeal Festival Bake-Off
Calling a bakers, it’s that time of year to break out your oatmeal canister and put your best recipe forward for the annual Oatmeal Festival Bake-Off. Judges will be looking at entries for best use of Oatmeal, flavor, texture and presentation. Drop off your entries on Saturday morning between 9:30 and 11:30 am at the Allied Underground Building (across the street from the City Hall).

Oatmeal Bake-Off Categories:
Each Category has Junior (under 17) and Senior (18+) Divisions.
- Breads (must be whole loaf)
- Cakes (must be whole cake)
- Pies (must be whole pie)
- Cookies (must be 12 cookies)
- Bars (must be 12 bars)
- Snack Mix (must be at least 2 cups)
- Healthy Entry (whole, 12, or at least 2 cups)
Guidelines:
- Entries only accepted from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on Saturday, September 3rd
- Each entry must have a recipe card
- Individuals may have one entry per category
- Fee for each entry:
- Adults – $5
- Junior – $3
- Must be homemade and include oatmeal or bran
- Entries are judged on:
- Flavor
- Presentation
- Texture
- Use of Oats
- Winners will be announced at main stage after final judging around 3:00 pm
- Containers or entries must be pick up at the Allied Underground Building immediately following winner announcements
- Any containers or entries left at the end of the day will be donated
